Mobile View is a mobile client for Dahua Mobile Center \/ DSS fleet servers \u2014 it lets a fleet operator view live and recorded vehicle video, track vehicle location, and review safety alarms from a server their organization already runs.<\/p>\n<p>We refer to Bright Ideas as &#8220;we&#8221; or &#8220;us,&#8221; and to the person using the app as &#8220;you.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"clause\" id=\"s2\">\n<p class=\"eyebrow\"><span class=\"n\">02<\/span> How Mobile View works<\/p>\n<h2>How Mobile View works<\/h2>\n<p>Mobile View does not operate its own servers or cloud backend. When you sign in, the app connects <strong>directly<\/strong> from your device to the Dahua Mobile Center \/ DSS server that your employer or organization controls, using the address and credentials you enter. Video, GPS positions, and alarm records travel directly between that server and your device \u2014 they do not pass through, or get stored on, any system that Bright Ideas operates.<\/p>\n<p>This matters for how you should read the rest of this policy: for the fleet data itself (video, location, driver alarms), <strong>your organization&#8217;s server operator is the data controller<\/strong>, not Bright Ideas. We do not run advertising SDKs or any usage\/behavioral analytics (screen views, session length, feature usage, and similar are not collected). If that changes in a future version, we will update this policy and the app-store data-safety disclosures before release.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"clause\" id=\"s4\">\n<p class=\"eyebrow\"><span class=\"n\">04<\/span> Your organization&#8217;s fleet data<\/p>\n<h2>Your organization&#8217;s fleet data<\/h2>\n<p>Live and recorded video, GPS location history, and safety alarms (including driver-behavior alerts such as drowsiness, phone use, or smoking detection) are generated and stored by your organization&#8217;s own Dahua server \u2014 not by Bright Ideas. Mobile View simply requests and displays this data while you&#8217;re using the app; it is not copied to a Bright Ideas\u2013operated system, and we have no access to it.<\/p>\n<p>Questions about how long this data is kept, who else can see it, or how to access or delete it should go to whoever administers your organization&#8217;s Dahua server \u2014 typically your employer&#8217;s fleet or IT department.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"clause\" id=\"s5\">\n<p class=\"eyebrow\"><span class=\"n\">05<\/span> Third-party services<\/p>\n<h2>Third-party services<\/h2>\n<p>The Live GPS Map and GPS Playback screens draw street map imagery from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.openstreetmap.org\/copyright\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OpenStreetMap<\/a>. Loading a map sends standard web request data (your device&#8217;s IP address and the map tiles requested) to OpenStreetMap&#8217;s tile servers, governed by their own privacy practices. No vehicle, driver, or account data is included in these requests.<\/p>\n<p>Mobile View uses <a href=\"https:\/\/firebase.google.com\/support\/privacy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Firebase Crashlytics<\/a>, a Google service, to receive crash and error diagnostics when something goes wrong in the app. This is limited to technical debugging data (see the table in Section 3) &#8211; it does not include your fleet&#8217;s video, location, or alarm data, and we have not configured it to collect usage analytics.<\/p>\n<p>Connecting Mobile View to a real fleet server requires an active subscription, purchased and billed entirely through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. All payment details (card numbers, billing address, etc.) are handled directly by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies &#8211; we never receive or store them.
